Keelwell the home renovation planner

The home renovation planner

Keep your renovation on an even keel.

Every task, tradesperson, and quote in one place — from first job to finished.

A renovation isn't one job. It's dozens.

The work is split between you, whoever you live with, and a string of tradespeople. The quotes arrive as PDFs and sink into your inbox. Nothing shows you the whole thing at once, so the project drifts out of view — and out of your control.

So you end up holding all of it in your head. That's the part that wears you down.

Open it, and it tells you what needs doing now.

Not a dashboard to interpret. Today's work and anything overdue, at the top, on the screen you land on.

The Now home. Overdue work first, then today's.

What's in it

Projects and tasks

Group the work by project — the kitchen, the loft, the garden — or keep one list. Add a job with nothing but a title and fill in the rest later. Every task has one owner and one doer: you, someone in your household, or a tradesperson. Deadlines flag as overdue once they pass.

Tradespeople

Keep everyone you've used or been recommended in one place, with their trade, their contact details, and what they actually do. Paste their website and Keelwell can read their skills off it for you to check.

Quotes

Request a quote, record what comes back, and see who's still to respond. Accept the one you want and decline the rest. The PDF stays attached to the quote instead of buried in your inbox.

Who could do it

Record what you can do yourself. When a job needs skills your household already has, Keelwell says so — and when you'd rather pay someone, it points at the tradespeople whose skills match. It tells you. You decide.

The AI reads things so you don't retype them.

Three places, all optional:

  • a quote PDF, read for its amount and line items
  • a tradesperson's website, read for what they do
  • a task's title, read for the skills the job needs

Each one shows you what it found and lets you edit it before anything is saved. Nothing is filed on your behalf and nobody is assigned to a job automatically.

To do this, the file or text is sent to an outside AI service to be read. If you'd rather it wasn't, every one of these can be filled in by hand instead.

What it isn't

  • Not for professional builders. It's for the homeowner running the job, not the people doing it for a living.
  • Not a budgeting tool. It records what a quote says. It doesn't track your spend, forecast costs, or handle invoices.
  • Not a mood board. There's no inspiration feed. Collect your ideas somewhere else and come here when it's time to make them happen.
  • No snagging list, no ratings, no notifications. Not yet.

Where it's up to

Cost

It's free today. No paid tier, no trial, nothing to cancel.

Stage

It's early. A small number of households use it, and we're testing early access before public launch while it's still being built.

Who runs it

One person. I built it and I run it. There's no support desk — but you know where to find me.

Privacy

Only the people you invite into your household can see your projects, tasks, quotes, and tradespeople. Other households can't see any of it.

Register your interest

If Keelwell goes live, you’ll get six months of the paid tier. We haven’t set the price yet.

We’ll use your email only to contact you about early access and, if Keelwell launches, your six months of the paid tier. No newsletter.
